4 | Graduate Nursing PROGRAM OVERVIEW NSU’s M.S.N. Traditional program is offered fully online and in a hybrid format in Palm Beach and Miami. The 36-credit M.S.N. program offers three concentrations of study • nursing education • executive nurse leadership • nursing informatics The 15-credit core M.S.N. courses remain constant, but the 21 credits for each concentration are specific to the area of interest. M.S.N. core courses are taught by faculty members with advanced preparation in the area of concentration. Each concentration includes practicum experience, allowing the student to apply and synthesize knowledge gained from all courses. The practicummay occur in a setting local to the student as long as the setting and preceptor provide oppor- tunities for the student to meet the learning outcomes. An assigned adviser is available for individualized program guidance. The M.S.N. Traditional program director may be contacted as needed. PROGRAM GOAL NSU’s graduate program builds on baccalaureate education and prepares graduates for advanced roles within the discipline of nursing.
