Nova Southeastern University | 15 M.S.N. PROGRAM OUTCOMES Graduates of NSU’s M.S.N. program will be able to • exhibit leadership through collaboration to promote quality and safety for improved patient outcomes • transform clinical and educational procedures through the integration of evidence-based practice • design innovative strategies to improve practice environments • incorporate knowledge of ethical and legal issues relevant to advanced nursing roles • advocate for equitable health care policies that improve population health • promote a culture of lifelong learning embracing professional nursing standards and values NSU students successfully completing the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult- Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program will also be able to • design evidenced-based advanced nursing care for the target population • integrate theory, evidence, clinical judgment, and interprofessional perspectives to improve health care outcomes for the target population • employ information systems technology and interprofessional collaboration to optimize safe and cost-effective health care outcomes • develop, implement, and evaluate clinical prevention and population health activities within the scope of practice
