CONCENTRATIONS • Nursing Education • Executive Nurse Leadership • Nursing Informatics Admission to NSU’s M.S.N. program with concentrations in nursing education, executive nurse leadership, or nursing informatics requires 1. a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from a regionally accredited college or university (The nursing degree must be accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing [ACEN], by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education [CCNE], or by the Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation [CNEA].)* 2. a B.S./B.A. GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale 3. a current, active, unencumbered, United States R.N. license (The license must remain current and unencumbered in the jurisdiction of the practicum throughout the program.) * Students who enter the M.S.N. programwithout a B.S.N. will be required to enroll in NSG 5000B Transition to Advanced Nursing Practice (only offered in the fall) in their first semester. TRANSFER CREDITS No more than 6 graduate credits may be transferred into NSU’s M.S.N. program from other graduate nursing programs. Courses will be evaluated by the program director on an individual basis for credit toward NSU’s M.S.N. program. To be considered for credit • a course must have been taken at an accredited graduate program and be the equivalent of a course offered in the NSU M.S.N. program • the student must have earned a grade of B or better in the course • students must submit the course syllabus directly to the program director Additional documentation may be required by the program director before credit may be granted. Only courses completed prior to the student’s matriculation into NSU’s M.S.N. program will be considered for transfer credit. Decisions will be final.
