The 60-credit hour degree program consists of coursework and clinical practice. Training is concentrated on brief, interactional models of family therapy, preparing our graduates to practice in a time-sensitive, cost-effective manner. The first two are on campus at the Brief Therapy Institute. After the initial training at the institute, the Department of Marriage and Family Therapy assists students in identifying external practicum sites. Students accumulate 500 client contact hours, 250 of which are relational in nature. Concurrently, students will have 100 supervision hours.
