Nova Southeastern University | 9 ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS All applicants to the Master of Science in Athletic Training program must 1. have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or an approved degree credentialing agency for international students 2. have a minimum of 2.75 cumulative grade point average (GPA), and a grade of C or better on all prerequisite courses Students must complete all prerequisite courses listed prior to successfully matriculat- ing to the M.S. A.T. program. Final transcripts must be submitted prior to matriculation. PREREQUISITE COURSES SEMESTER HOURS Psychology 3 Statistics 3 Biology with lab 4 Anatomy and physiology with lab 8 (anatomy and physiology may be combined or separate) Chemistry with lab 4 Physics with lab 4 Kinesiology/biomechanics 3 Exercise physiology 3 PROVISIONAL ACCEPTANCE Students are provisionally admitted to a degree-seeking program based on a review of unofficial transcripts or other specific program admission requirements. However, this admission includes a condition that final and official transcripts, documents, and requirements must be received within 90 calendar days from matriculation. If these final and official transcripts, documents, and/or requirements are not received by that time, the student will not be allowed to continue class attendance. Financial aid will not be disbursed to a provisional/conditional student until he or she has been fully admitted as a regular student (all admissions requirements have been approved by the college/ program admissions office). Students who have an unpaid balance 30 days from the start of the term will be assessed a $100 late fee. Did You Know? Students with bachelor’s degrees in any academic area can be considered for admission to the M.S.A.T. program. Candidates are individually reviewed by the M.S.A.T. Committee on Admissions as NSU considers each applicant in terms of his or her potential for success in the program.
