41 services. The tiny house is used to provide services to agencies that have a patient base and need services. These agencies include Head Start centers, schools, and assisted living facilities. However, my company also provides home-based and concierge audiology services that can be brought into a patient’s home by using portable, modern audiology equipment. The number of patients I serve on an average basis varies. It has ranged from serving approximately 100–500 patients within a month and requires strategic planning. I move the tiny house as often as I need to, although I typically do not move it more than four times a month. I also conduct quarterly community service events, so it is also relocated during this time as well. When the tiny house is not in use, I provide home-based and workplace audiology services. I currently provide services within a 2.5-hour radius, which is approximately a span of a maximum of 400 miles. Within the past six months, I have logged more than 8,000 miles and have seen patients ranging in age from infants to those over the age of 100. What I love most about the work I’m doing through Onsite Audiology is providing services to patients who would have otherwise been unreached. I also find it extremely gratifying that something that was once a vision has become a functional and inspirational clinic. The practice of audiology is not one-dimensional. There are many gaps when it comes to the lack of access to hearing health care, and it is imperative that we explore creative ways to bring these services to those in underserved and under-resourced areas. Everyone deserves equal access to care. o To prepare myself, I enrolled in a women’s entrepreneurship certificate program. I sought consultation from various business coaches and approached several mentors. My goal was to build the mobile clinic, with little to no debt, so my overhead would remain low. That was important when developing my pricing structure for underserved communities. The tiny house hearing clinic is only one aspect of Onsite Audiology, which is an umbrella of mobile audiology
