Graduation Requirements Graduation requirements are detailed within the main section of this student handbook. In addition, students in the M.S. in Nutrition degree professional practice concentration (RDN) are eligible for graduation and to receive an ACEND Verification Statement, when the student • satisfactorily completes, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0, or higher, and within four years (12 semesters) of matriculation, the course of study required for the concentration (a minimum of 68 credit hours) • successfully completes all supervised practice and performance competency requirements • successfully passes the comprehensive examination Upon satisfactory completion of degree requirements, the student is expected to attend, in person, the commencement program. Students who do not plan to attend the commencement ceremonies must notify the program office before the established deadline for the commencement application. I. Professionalism The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and its credentialing agency, the Commission on Dietetic Registration, believe it is in the best interest of the profession and the public it serves to have a Code of Ethics in place that provides guidance to dietetics practitioners in their professional practice and conduct. As members of an ACEND-accredited professional training program, students are subject to this Code of Ethics and are strongly advised to maintain active membership within the academy to stay abreast of current professional issues, benefits, and communications. J. Student Identity The RDN program follows the procedures of the graduate nutrition program to maintain confirmation of student identities, including a secure login for all technology and the use of other means to confirm that the student enrolled in the program is also the person presenting authentic work. Student Concerns The RDN program continuously strives to uphold all ACEND requirements for policies and procedures related to the accreditation standards.
