Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences—Department of Physician Assistant 453 PAJ 6380—Clinical Elective II Six-week elective, full-time clinical rotation that provides an opportunity to investigate a medical or surgical subspecialty area or gain more experience in primary care. Each elective may be taken sequentially or separately, but not at the same clinical site. (6-240-6) PAJ 6390—Clinical Elective III This four-week elective rotation will be completed at the end of the clinical year. Elective rotations provide an opportunity to investigate a medical or surgical subspecialty area or gain more experience in a required discipline. (4-160-4) PAJ 6010—Graduate Project I This two-course series is designed to instruct learners in the process of developing a capstone project of publishable quality. During the graduate project course sequence, students will work closely with their faculty advisers as they progress from conceptualization to completion of a comprehensive literature review and evaluation. In the Graduate Project I course, students will utilize the skills acquired in PAJ 5512 Interpretation of the Medical Literature to select from current clinical or administrative medicine topics to generate a research topic proposal, formulate a research question, and collect information for use in a literature review. At the conclusion of both graduate project courses, the final capstone project will be a literature review of publishable quality. Prerequisite for taking PAJ 6020 Graduate Project II (0-15-1) PAJ 6020—Graduate Project II This two-course series is designed to instruct learners in the process of developing a capstone project of publishable quality. During the graduate project course sequence, students will work closely with their faculty advisers as they progress from conceptualization to completion of a comprehensive literature review and evaluation. In the Graduate Project II course, students will utilize the information collected in Graduate Project I to continue developing their research topics into a complete literature review. This course will focus on the collection and evaluation of the literature, as well as the preparation and submission of a quality capstone project. At the conclusion of both graduate project courses, the final capstone project will be a literature review of publishable quality. (0-30-2)
