Nova Southeastern University | 11 HOLISTIC APPROACH NSU MD’s admissions committee uses a holistic admissions process to ensure the applicant pool and student body is broadly diverse, enabling the college to achieve its mission. NSU MD prohibits discrimination against, or granting preferential treatment to, any individual or group as set forth in the university’s nondiscrimination policy. As each applicant is considered for admissions during the selection process, the college reviews all relevant information, including academic, personal, experiential, and demographic data. Along with strong academic credentials, certain personal qualities receive particular attention. These include the following: • motivation • sensitivity to the needs of others • excellent oral communication skills • maturity SELECTION PROCESS Did You Know? Personal attributes such as compassion and altruism, viewed by the committee as essential to the art of good medical practice, are also of special interest. TUITION AND FEES The Cost of Attendance (COA) represents your estimated total cost to attend NSU MD for one year. All students receive a standard COA for the 2021–2022 academic year. This amount includes tuition, fees, learning technologies, books, supplies, and a reasonable living allowance. The living allowance is based on Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics and factors in housing, transportation, and personal expenses. ANNUAL TUITION Tuition for 2021–2022 will be posted online at md.nova.edu/admissions/cost.html . FEES • The NSU Student Services Fee is $1,500 per academic year. This covers expenses, including Internet connectivity, Shark Shuttle, RecPlex membership, and other costs. • An HPD General Access Fee of $145 is also required annually. • A technology fee of $1,950 is required in the first year. • A technology fee of $460 is required in the third year. All tuition and fees are subject to change by the board of trustees without notice.
