Students will have an opportunity to meet their chair face-to-face and work together on their dissertation benchmarks. Additionally, the calendar activities of the week will be reviewed with students so they can participate in instruction, workshops, and meetings with their chair that will help them proceed with their dissertations. Student Expo—Emerging Scholarly Research and Poster and Networking Session Sunday, July 14 2:15–3:45 p.m. Fantasia Ballroom G–H The Student Expo presents a unique learning and networking event that brings together international researchers and doctoral students in a forum where researchers, students, alumni, and dissertation advisors can discuss international trends in education from pre–K to higher education. Through the networking event, students will be able to speak individually with researchers from countries around the world and recent graduates to make connections, look for future research ideas, or discover new opportunities for collaboration. Research areas include: pre–K to12 education (including public, private, and charter education), higher education, organizational leadership, speech-language pathology (and related fields), instructional technology, distance education, training and organizational development, and cross-cultural competency.
