30 Within NSU’S Fort Lauderdale/Davie Campus lies another institution preparing students at every stage of their education. NSU University School (USchool) combines academics, arts, athletics, and community service to develop young minds. The Preschool provides early care and education for children 18 months through 4 years in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. Teachers use the 5C Curriculum Framework to help children reach challenging but achievable goals. In the Lower School (grades K–5), students are encouraged to be creative, take risks, and become critical thinkers. In addition to emphasizing proficiency in reading, writing, and math, the Lower School curriculum focuses on world languages, social studies, science and innovation, physical education, and character development. Our cutting-edge academic program empowers Middle School students to pursue knowledge, big ideas, and questions. Our teachers understand that every child is unique, so they continually seek to differentiate instruction in order to reach every student. During grades 9 through 12, students craft individualized academic programs through which they discover their passions as learners and develop their voices as leaders. In any given day, Upper School students explore labs, participate in deep and probing discussions, write critically and creatively, refine their thinking, and learn to solve complex problems. For example, they don’t just learn the process of protein synthesis; they invent their own systems for modeling the process. As an added educational benefit, the school’s unique affiliation with NSU provides students with access to world-class scientists, researchers, and distinguished professors. NSU University School gives students an edge as they prepare for college and beyond. PRESCHOOL (STARTING AT 18 MONTHS)–GRADE 12 (954) 262-4506 | uschool.nova.edu NSU UNIVERSITY SCHOOL
