From being awarded a Juris Doctorate to earning a Bachelor of Science in Law (three minors available), NSU provides an edge at every level, offering one of the most expansive legal programs in the United States. J.D. students can pursue their passion on a full- or part-time basis. NSU Law guarantees every J.D. student a live-client experience through on-site clinics and a wide array of field placements. The on-site clinics include the Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Law Clinic, the Children and Families Law Clinic, the Dispute Resolution Clinic, the Sharon and Mitchell W. Berger Entrepreneur Clinic, and the Veterans Law Clinic. Additionally, NSU Law’s Field Placement Clinics allow students to work under the supervision of practicing lawyers in private or nonprofit law offices, governmental and administrative agencies, public interest organizations, or corporate legal departments. The Master of Laws, LL.M. program offers students a flexible and global curriculum that prepares graduates for leadership roles and adds professional value to their practice. Areas of focus include business and entrepreneurial counseling; health law; international law; intellectual property, technology, and cybersecurity; and litigation and dispute resolution. For nonlawyers, NSU Law offers an online Master of Science in Law program, enabling students to integrate legal concepts directly into their current career. Our Bachelor of Science in Law offers students the unique opportunity to gain a foundational understanding of the law from law faculty members. The degree is designed to develop critical thinking and communication skills in preparation for a law-related career or to continue on to law school.
