Admission Policy for Students Who Have Previously Withdrawn or Been Dismissed Any student who is dismissed or withdraws from the CDM will not be eligible for reapplication or readmission. Grievances and Appeals A. Appeals Policy for Grading Disputes Matters regarding grading disputes shall include concerns related to the processes by which grades are determined. No appeals for grades shall be allowed, other than the calculation or miscalculation thereof or allegations of federally or state-protected discrimination. In all appeals regarding a grading dispute, the decision of the associate dean of Academic Affairs is final. Appeal(s) must be made within five business days of posting of the grade(s) in question. 1. Classroom (Didactic) and/or Laboratory Grade A predoctoral student seeking to appeal a decision regarding a classroom (didactic) and/or laboratory grade should seek solutions through the following administrative channels by entering at the appropriate level and proceeding in the order stated: a. course instructor b. course director c. department chair d. associate dean of Academic Affairs (final level of appeal) A student seeking to resolve a classroom (didactic) and/or laboratory grade problem or complaint through the administrative channels cited above must initiate such action in writing within five business days (excluding official school holidays and weekends) from the date that the grade was recorded at the registrar’s office. Review of a student grade problem or complaint at each administrative level will be carried out as expediently as possible. If the student is not satisfied with the decision, the student may appeal to the next administrative level.
