34 | Dental Medicine DENTISTRY MASTER OF SCIENCE DEGREE ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS Applicants to the Dentistry Master of Science (M.S.) Degree Program, as full, degree-seeking candidates, must meet the following eligibility requirements: 1. Be matriculated in an NSU-CDM Advanced Dental Education program. 2. Submit a 250–300-word letter of interest in this program articulating their career plan, capabilities, and areas of scientific interest. 3. Submit two letters of reference from individuals familiar with their aptitude to perform adequately at a graduate level. 4. Complete and submit an application for admission. 5. Provide a description of proposed research topics/interests. Applicants are expected to come from the pool of approximately 60 graduate specialty certificate candidates (residents) enrolled each year in advanced education in general dentistry, periodontology, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, or oral surgery. DENTISTRY MASTER OF SCIENCE DEGREE TUITION AND FEES TUITION Tuition for 2022–2023 will be posted online at dental.nova.edu. All tuition and fees are subject to change by the board of trustees without notice. FEES Annual Fees • Dental General Access Fee—$145 • NSU Student Services Fee—$1,500 • Technology Fee—$500 INSURANCE REQUIREMENT Each NSU-CDM student is required to carry adequate personal medical and hospital insurance. Students may avail themselves of the hospitalization insurance plan obtainable through the university.
