Barry and Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy 2025–2026 129 • Enter your NSU username and password (same as Canvas and SharkLink). • Download the exam file in ExamSoft as you usually would. • Make sure your iPad/laptop and phone are fully charged. • Check Canvas for an exam information announcement 24–48 hours prior to the exam. This announcement will contain exam instructions and your Zoom invitation link for your assigned proctor. This is what you will click on to connect to the online proctoring session. The Zoom link and proctor will be available approximately 30 minutes before the start of your exam (e.g., Zoom link and proctor will be available at 8:40 a.m. for a 9:10 a.m. exam start time). Day of Exam • Login to your online proctoring link via Zoom on your mobile device 15–30 minutes prior to the start of your exam. This will allow time to run through the setup steps below. • Disable any virtual background or blurred background while using Zoom on your mobile device. Virtual backgrounds and blurred backgrounds must remain disabled for the duration of the exam. • Set up your test workstation so your image is visible: − You must use your mobile device connected to Zoom to perform an environmental scan of your surrounding area at a reasonably slow speed to demonstrate that no additional materials (e.g. notes, additional computing devices etc.) are within your view. The proctor may call on a student at any time during the examination to do additional environmental scan/s to ensure compliance with academic honesty and integrity. − Place your mobile device connected to Zoom in a vertical position. You may need to prop it up on a book or other stand to keep it vertical. − Be approximately at arm’s length away from the mobile device webcam for the best angle. − our iPad or laptop should be level on the table or desk with any covering removed. − Your face should be visible in the webcam screen. − The microphone should be enabled. The proctor will mute your microphone during the session to minimize any sound disruption. − Place your mobile device on Do Not Disturb to avoid text messages or phone calls during the exam. − Proctor will ask for an ID check. You should hold up your ID (SharkCard ID is preferred, driver’s license or passport are acceptable). − You may have one blank sheet of scratch paper (plain notebook ruled paper is fine as well) and a pencil. The proctor will ask you to show the blank piece of paper (turn over to view both sides). No other devices, additional scratch sheets of paper, or personal calculators are allowed unless permitted by the instructor. − Exam session is via Zoom and the recording will be sent to your course coordinator after the conclusion of the exam session.
