Seating is available on a first-come, first- seated basis. The sign language interpreter is visible on the live telecast screen. The simulcast viewing is not closed captioned. PLEASE NOTE: The Flight Deck Pub offers a family-friendly environment conducive to guests with small children who may become restless due to the length of the ceremony. All NSU Commencement ceremonies are also video streamed in real time. Visit the NSU Commencement website a nd click on the “Commencement Ceremony Live” icon. All commencement video streams are archived on the NSU Commencement Web site approximately one week after the ceremony. ATTENDANCE & ELIGIBILITY Candidates who were not invited to last year’s ceremony and have achieved degree conferral since last year’s commencement exercises and prior to this year’s ceremony dates are automatically invited to participate. Each college determines its participation requirements. When in doubt, check with your academic program or visit its commencement website for clarification on the requirements that must be met in order to be invited. SPECIAL NEEDS We encourage candidates who need disability accommodations to notify th e Office of Student Disability Services a t (954) 262-7185 at least two weeks in advance of the event. The Rick Case Arena at the Don Taft University Center (UC) provides handicap accessible parking spaces located on each level of the public parking garage. Golf carts will be in operation before and after the ceremony to transport special-needs guests to and from the parking garage and the UC. Patrons using wheelchairs can enter and exit the building through either the North or East Lobby. There is an elevator located directly across from the box office for convenient access to the arena entrance. All accessible seating is located on the second floor of the arena. MILITARY STOLES NSU honors our graduating veteran and military candidates with a commemorative stole, signifying the university’s appreciation for your service and dedication. The military commencement stole, compliments of University President, Dr. George L. Hanbury II, will be available at th e Veterans Resource Center w ith the presentation of a military ID, DD Form 214, VA Identification card, or driver’s license with a veteran’s designation.
