RETURN OF THE SHARKS: COVID-19 STUDENT GUIDELINES. Your health and safety is our top priority at NSU Florida. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university has instituted many physical changes and protocols recommended by the CDC, state, local, and our own medical and public health experts. With these unprecedented times come unexpected challenges, and our faculty and staff are working to ensure you have the flexibility you need to pursue your education in a safe envrionment. Below outlines a list of areas with updates related to COVID-19. STAY INFORMED You will continue to receive important updates as the university adapts to our new normal. Students and families should review this student guide extensively, which can be found online at nova.edu/publications/student-guidelines/index.html . COURSE-DELIVERY OPTIONS The choice is yours. Undergraduate courses will be delivered synchronously through a Blend-Flex course model, allowing you to join class in-person or remotely. Every classroom has been equipped with cameras, microphones, and screens. Your first class of the semester will be a coordinated Zoom call, and from there your professor will discuss class procedures and delivery options. CAMPUS HOUSING You should have received information (to your NSU email) regarding your housing contract options and move-in details from NSU Residential Life and Housing. For the most current COVID-19 related information regarding campus housing, pay attention to your NSU email and refer to nova.edu/housing . NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION This year’s orientation will now be a virtual experience on Thursday, August 6, for both students and parents. Students will need to prepare in advance through a course in Canvas. By now, you should have received a notification to your NSU email regarding the Orientation course in Canvas.
