Maria Vera, M.D.

Associate Professor, College of Osteopathic Medicine, Nova Southeastern University

Maria Vera, MD is a physician scientist at the Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine and faculty at Nova Southeastern University's College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and has six years of experience working in research and clinical care of patients with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). Her research interest is focused on the development of tools and application of medical informatics to improve the education and care of patients with ME/CFS. She is also working on the potential role of immunomodulators and understanding the pathophysiologic pathways for ME/CFS, to recognize other therapeutic targets and management options for this condition.
