iPhone/iPad: Instructions for Saving App Exercises, Feedback Screens, and Weekly Logs into a Permanent Image.
- Once you complete an exercise, fill in a drinking feedback screen, or complete a weekly log, you may want to save its contents for future reference. An easy way is to take a screenshot of the page you want to keep. For example if you want to keep your decisional balance exercise responses, when you have a part of the screen displayed you want to capture, press the home button at the bottom of the iPhone or iPad and the on/off button at the top right of the iPhone or iPad simultaneously (Note: If you hold the Home button too long, you'll activate Siri, or if you hold the on/off button too long the device will go to sleep).
- When you press both buttons simultaneously, the screen will flash white and there will be a sound like a camera shutter (this happens if you have sounds activated). This means you have successfully taken a picture of your iPhone or iPad screen.
- To view an iPhone screenshot, go to the built-in Camera app and then tap on Camera Roll in the bottom left corner. In the Camera Roll, the first photo will be the most recent screenshot you took.
- Next time you sync your iPhone or iPad, you can sync any photo you took of an app exercise, drinking feedback screen, or weekly log and save it as a document that you can refer to in the future to track your progress or assess your motivation to change.
