Copying and Exporting Assessments

Copying and exporting assessments can be used to duplicate a copy of your exam within a course or to import it into another course.

Step 1:

Go to the Control Panel, click on Course Tools, and select Tests, Surveys, and Pools.

Click on Tests.

Step 2:

Hoover over the name of the exam that you would like to copy/export and click on the downward arrow to the right of the name.

Select either Export to Local Computer, Export to Content Collection, or Copy.

Step 3:

If you selected Copy, you will now see a copy of your exam in your listing. You may now go to the content area (often called Assessments) to deploy your exam.

If you selected Export to Local Computer, you will be instructed to save the file to your computer directly.

If you selected Export to Content Collection, you will be instructed to browse for the course content collection destination. Click Browse and then Course Content to see a list of all content collections that you may choose from. Click Submit when you have selected the desired destination.

Step 4:

If you selected Export to Local Computer, you will now need to import the exam into your new course. Access the course that you wish to import the exam to. Go to the Control Panel, click on Course Tools, and select Tests, Surveys, and Pools. Click on Tests. Click Import Test. Browse your Computer for the file and click Submit. The exam will now be loaded into your course. You may now go to the content area (often called Assessments) to deploy your exam.

If you selected Export to Content Collection, access the course where you put the exam in the content collection. Go to the Control Panel, click on Course Tools, and select Tests, Surveys, and Pools. Click on Tests. Click Import Test. Browse your Content Collection for the file and click Submit. The exam will now be loaded into your course. You may now go to the content area (often called Assessments) to deploy your exam.

Faculty Online Certification Notification

Applicable ONLY to faculty that have NOT yet enrolled/registered or completed the Faculty Online Certification v2 course. To facilitate the enrollment process into the required Faculty Online Certification v2 course (FOCv2) all fulltime faculty and adjunct faculty will be automatically enrolled into the course. Faculty and adjunct faculty will be enrolled as students in the FOCv2 and receive a Faculty Certification Instructor Practice Course where they complete the required hands-on activities as an instructor.

Cohorts are available for those who wish to receive assistance or to interact in a classroom environment. To join a cohort please go to https://app.nova.edu/izonetraining/register.aspx  and register for any session depending on your schedule. There are 5 units in the required Blackboard Training module.

Recordings for Unit 1-5 are available in the Faculty Online Certification v2 course and faculty can listen to the recordings for each unit and work along at their own pace.
