Changing Your NSU Password/ GoToTraining Session Scheduling

Issue Date: 07-29-2016

The weekly Tech Talk is a communication for faculty and staff containing university system tips, best practices, and important IT notifications. We have recently expanded the population to include staff and are making the newsletter more versatile to appeal to the NSU community. We look forward to providing you with this newsletter every Friday and keeping you informed of NSU system news. We welcome topic suggestions and feedback by submitting a ticket to the OI2T Support Portal.

This week’s best practice:

NSU Password: It is recommended that you change your NSU password once a year. Your unique password must not have been previously used and must follow the criteria below:

  • Be a minimum of eight (8) characters in length
  • Contain at least three (3) characters from the following categories:
    • Uppercase letter (A-Z)
    • Lowercase letter (a-z)
    • Contain at least a Digit (0-9)
    • Special character (%$&*)

GoToTraining: When scheduling your GoToTraining sessions in your courses it is advised to wait to schedule them in the tool until after registration for your class has closed. This will ensure that all students are able to access the session without authenticating.
