Instructions for Attendees

Dear HPD Students and Faculty,

The following is basic information about REACH Day along with suggestions for getting the most from the day. There are two main tracks for the day: research and interprofessional education (IPE). Those students who have been selected to participate in IPE events will spend a half day (either morning or afternoon) in IPE experiences. All other students will participate in research events--watching presentations and attending poster presentations.

Students on the central campus will watch presentations in the auditorium of their choice. Some regional campuses will produce their own presentations, other campuses will view presentations via videoconference or streaming.

Attendance is mandatory, with some special considerations made by each college. Please be sure to follow the attendance requirements for your college. Attendance will be checked at the end of each presentation with each student scanning a QR code using their cell phone, and adding the code word for that hour.

The program book is available online. The program book contains abstracts of each presentation. Each auditorium will also receive a Barnes and Noble gift card as a door prize. Every student will receive a raffle ticket for the drawing for door prizes at the beginning of the 3:00 session. The drawing will take place at the end of the day. Students must be present to win.

Lunch break will be from 12:00-1:45 p.m. Students, faculty, and staff will be responsible for their own lunch arrangements. Poster presentations will also be from 12:00-1:45 p.m. Please be sure to save time from your lunch break to view the posters.
