Interprofessional Leadership in Geriatric Education

The Interprofessional Leadership in Geriatric Education (ILGE) is designed to provide faculty development opportunities in geriatrics and gerontology for both administrative and clinical faculty of all health professions involved in geriatric care. The curriculum gives special attention to interprofessional competencies and relevant trends in the Health Care Reform Act, Healthy people 2020, and the National Standards on Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Service.

Participants of the ILGE program will gain knowledge and skills to effectively build the interest of students in serving the increasing older adult population, develop leadership skills to model the “medical home” throughout the life course, and learn to implement interprofessional collaborations in health care settings.

For more information about the free ILGE faculty development opportunity, please contact Stacey Pinnock, MSW, at or (954) 262-1819.
