Lauren joined the Office of Career Development in July 2018, as a Experiential Education and Learning (ExEL) Career Advisor. As a professional, who has found her own personal career path, Lauren is dedicated to helping students develop and achieve their own academic and career goals.

Lauren graduated from Florida International University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication, a Bachelor of Arts in English, and a Major Completion in Women’s Studies. After working full-time at FIU for two years, she attended the University of Florida and graduated in 2015 with her Master of Education in Student Personnel in Higher Education.

Previous to joining NSU, Lauren worked in academic advising and career counseling for the Heavener School of Business at UF, and then with a living learning community for first-year business students at the University of South Florida. Lauren's goal is to offer students the tools they need to successfully navigate college and ready themselves for their future desired careers.

Lauren is originally from the South Florida area and is a fan of tacos, Parks & Recreation, and being a tourist in her home state. You can typically find Lauren grabbing a caramel macchiato at Starbucks, discovering new brunch places, or shopping around to update her wardrobe.
