NSU Recruit A Shark Day

This event is held every semester and provides an avenue to brand and connect employers, non-profits, research laboratories, and volunteer organizations with talented NSU students and alumni for internships, volunteer, part-time, or full-time opportunities. You’ll meet NSU undergraduate, graduate, and alumni attendees from a variety of programs and majors.

Pre-Health Day

This event is held every year during the winter semester for undergraduate students interested in healthcare or research careers. The event consists of mock interviews facilitated by faculty, employers, and alumni; breakout sessions led by industry professionals; and a resource fair filled with employer opportunities.

Employer Information Sessions

Interested in engaging with NSU student about your unique brand or company? Employer information sessions are here to give NSU students an exclusive look into your companies’ opportunities and features such as jobs, internship, and company culture hosted by your employees.

Employer Site Visits

Are you interested in providing students to fully experience your organization headquarters or different departments? The Office of Career Development collaborates with employers to set up site visits to allow students to experience your organizations operations, day-to-day business, and overall department structures. ­­Interested in learning more and setting up your organization site visit click here to get contact information.

Classroom Visits

The Office of Career Development teams up with NSU faculty to provide options for classroom presenters and guest lectures. Classroom visits gives the opportunity to students listens and learns about real life industry insights experiences from professionals in the relevant field. Presenters are required to present topics that are relevant to academic programs.

Case Competitions

Case Competitions offer you the opportunity to present company-specific problems (real or fictitious) to be solved by NSU students. Students teams review the scenario and develop viable solutions. These are presented to a judging panel that includes your organization and NSU career faculty. Not only will you gain new ideas for solving your problem, but you’ll have a chance to identify and meet with students who can add value to your organization.

Networking Opportunities

Networking events are hosted throughout the year and provide an ideal setting to meet with NSU’s best and brightest. These events are valuable to employer partners looking to fill internships, offer career opportunities, or simply engage with NSU students and alumni.

On Campus Interviews

This is an excellent way for you to meet talented NSU students. Interviews are conducted at our Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus during the academic semester.

Info Sessions, Round Tables, Panel, or Professional Development Programming

Employer information sessions give NSU students an exclusive look into your organization. Students learn about available internship and job opportunities, as well as company culture and objectives. Employers are welcome to be as creative as desired when crafting a proposed program to host on campus. Some examples include “Resume Critique Night” and “Speed Mock Interviews.”
