Gals Group

This group is for girls of all ages with a diagnosis of autism. We have meetups in Broward County, and the location and exact time will vary. Information for each outing will be provided in advance. Job Club

A support group for registered CARD constituents 18 years and older who are out of high school with autism who are looking for work or who are employed. We share job search strategies, learn about networking, work on resumes, practice interviewing skills, work on setting career goals and help each other keep a positive attitude. All individuals who are interested in attending for the must contact the facilitator in advance. Registration is required.

Job SEEKers (Supporting and Enhancing Employment Knowledge)

Job SEEKers is a 6 session program being offered for registered CARD constituents 18 years and older who are out of high school with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Activities and experiences will improve employment-related skills. The goal of Job SEEKers is to help prepare adults with ASD for the job search process. All individuals who are interested in attending in the summer must schedule a screening appointment with a facilitator in advance. Registration is required.

Language Links

Language Links is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and visual supports work-group where parents, caregivers, and professionals work together to expand their knowledge of no-tech through high-tech communication aids and learn about applications that work for individuals with autism of all ages.

Relating-2-Reading

This 5-session experience is designed to help families promote literacy learning in their preschool children with autism and related disabilities. Parents learn how to engage with their children to support communication, language, reading, and writing. Registration is required.

Social GAAIN

Social GAAIN (Social Group for Adults with Autism to Interact and Network) is a social networking and activity group for high-functioning adults on the autism spectrum. The group is for registered CARD constituents who are 18+ AND who are out of high school. Adults should be able to sustain a conversation, conduct themselves independently and participate in group discussions on various topics. Together You and I

Together You & I is an interactive play program for 2 year old children with ASD and their caregivers. Caregivers and parents learn the theoretical knowledge and practical strategies to increase their child’s joint engagement skills. Target skills include pragmatic and functional communication, joint engagement, emotional regulation, and behavioral support.
