Shanygne is the Graduate Assistant for Student Programming in the Office of Campus Life and Student Engagement. She joined Nova Southeastern University in July 2013 and is now a second year graduate student in the College Student Affairs program. Shanygne loves working to implement ideas for Student Events and Activities Board (S.E.A. Board), which executes and plans a variety of events that caters to the student body.
Shanygne was born in Brooklyn New York but is no stranger to South Florida. Broward County has been her home for the past 17 years attending elementary, middle, high school, undergraduate and now graduate college.
Shanygne loves South Florida's diversity, warm weather and the beach! You can most likely see her dancing or doing something active outside. Not only has Shanygne been a part of the NSU's community over 6 years but she has contributed her effort toward the Sharkettes Dance team! She takes pride in being a Shark and encourages others to be engaged and make a change within their community.
Prior to becoming the GA for Student Programming Shanygne was the Thursday Night Life Chair for Student Programming when she was a senior at NSU as well as the captain for the Sharkettes and a members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Sigma Chi Chapter.
After receiving her Bachelors in Communications and Dance in 2017 she is excited and cannot wait to received her Masters in 2020!
