Harlena serves as the Graduate Assistant for Student Organizations in the Office of Campus Life and Student Engagement. She oversees all undergraduate organizations, manages the Student Organization Resource Center (The SOuRCe), and advises the Inter-Organizational Council.
Harlena was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Sports/Entertainment/Event Management from Johnson & Wales University (JWU) in North Miami. While at JWU, Harlena worked as a Programmer and Co-Chair for the Campus Activities Board and was heavily involved in the campus community. One of her favorite experiences was the opportunity to work as a Production Assistant for BET’s 2015 Leading Women Defined. Harlena is a proud member of the Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
Harlena’s undergraduate experience is the reason she is currently pursuing her Master of Science in College Student Affairs here at Nova Southeastern University. She has grown passionate for making an impact on student development and engagement. Following graduation, Harlena plans to pursue a career working in student activities, orientation or leadership development. In her free time, she enjoys community service, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
