WebCT Server Status*WebCT is available twenty four (24) hours daily.
Nov. 1, 7:00 AM - Nov. 2, 1:00 PM, 2009 Some users that access the Internet via AT&T were receiving intermittent connection issues when requesting pages from NSU sites due to a network routing issue at AT&T. September 24, 2009 4:00 AM - 4:26 PM WebCT was down for scheduled maintenance September 15, 2009 2:38 AM - 12:54 PM WebCT was unavailable due to hardware failure. September 14, 2009 7:49 AM - 12:46 PM WebCT was unavailable due to hardware failure. September 12, 2009 12:00-1:25 P.M. WebCT was down for scheduled maintenance (storage array controler updated). February 3, 2009 10:58-11:03 A.M. Server Rebooted to resolve a defunct Whiteboard process. December 16, 2008 2:30-6:00 P.M. The software that integrates Elluminate Live with WebCT was failing to recognize course instructors and was not granting moderator access into sessions. November 14, 2008 3:00-10:25 A.M. WebCT was down for scheduled maintenance (storage array firmware updated). November 10, 2008 9:30-10:15 A.M. Elluminate Live was down for scheduled maintenance. November 7, 2008 2:00-3:15 P.M. WebCT was down for scheduled maintenance (host bus adapter updated). August 23, 2008 from 7:30 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. The authentication services prevented users from accessing the WebCT system. ( The external LDAP server was down ) August 1, 2008 from 11:00 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. The authentication service prevented users from accessing the WebCT system. ( The external LDAP server was down ) July 26, 2008 from 12:01 A.M. - 4:17 A.M. WebCT was down for scheduled maintenance. ( Move Course Content to a larger mounted disk ) June 30, 2008 from 8:00 - 8:06 P.M. A software patch was installed and the WebCT service was restarted. May 2, 2008 from 2:00 - 2:20 P.M. An LMB patch for SharkLink was installed. March, 31 2008 from 12:00 - 12:10 P.M. The WebCT server was rebooted to correct an RPC error. March, 6 2008 7:30 P.M. - March 7, 12:30 P.M. The Horizon Wimba Live Classroom server was unavailable. January 28, 2008 8:53 A.M. - 8:53 A.M. A software plugin was installed and the WebCT service was restarted. The server was down less than one minute (Tegrity Powerlink was installed). January 17, 2008 7:30 P.M. - January 18, 10:30 A.M. The Horizon Wimba Live Classroom server was unavailable. December 5, 2007 12:45-1:22 P.M. The WebCT Server was unavailable to due to an error with the SSL certificate. May 1, 2007 12:01-2:42 A.M. On Tuesday, May 1, 2007 between 12:01 and 2:42 a.m. WebCT was down for scheduled maintenance. ( Move Files to a new mounted disk ) April 28, 2007 5:00-5:45 A.M. On Saturday, April 28, 2007 between 05:00 and 5:45 a.m. WebCT was down for scheduled maintenance. (Reboot becuase of switch problem )

Friday March 23, 2007 Tuesday February 6, 2007 9:00-10:00 A.M. WebCT was down for scheduled maintenance (daylight saving times patches applied to the O/S). December 27, 2006 6:05-6:09 A.M. On Wednesday, December 27, 2006 between 06:05 and 6:09 a.m. WebCT was down for scheduled maintenance. ( HotFix 53190, 60010, 62440, & 62720 ) December 10, 2006 4:15-4:50 P.M. Work on the NSU network caused the WebCT server to become unavailable. ( Network Intrusion Prevention Software took WebCT off of the Network.) December 6, 2006 5:30-8:30 A.M. The WebCT Server was unavailable to due to an error with the SSL certificate. August 20, 11:45 p.m.-12:15 a.m. External network access was not available between 11:45pm and 12:15am on Sunday August 20, 2006. February 2, 10:00-10:14 a.m. On February 2, 2006 between 10:00 and 10:14 a.m. WebCT was down for scheduled maintenance. (O/S patch installed and server rebooted). January 28, 6:02-6:55 p.m. On Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006 between 6:02 and 6:55 PM the WebCT Sever had a unresponsive mount and was rebooted. January 9, 7:00-10:30 p.m. On Monday, Jan. 9, 2006 between 7:00 and 10:30 PM the WebCT Sever experienced intermittent technical issues. That caused some users to experience slow response times. October 23, 4:50 p.m. until October 26, 8:25 p.m. The WebCT server was unavailable due to hurricane Wilma. 10:10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2005: The WebCT server unavailable due to installation of WebCT SP5. 9:15 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005: The WebCT server unavailable due to development server maintenance (SP5 & reboot). 8:00 p.m. until n/a Wednesday, April 13, 2005: The Network experienced instability on March 13,2005 which resulted in some internet services being unavailable. This problem has been resolved. 11:50 AM until 12:25 PM Monday, March 14, 2005: The WebCT server was unavailable due to unexpected software error. 10:05 PM until 11:05 PM Thursday, October 28, 2004: The WebCT server was unavailable... 7:15 AM until 8:30 AM Wednesday, October 27, 2004: The WebCT server unavailable due to the installation of WebCT Service Packs (3 & 4). 11:00 PM Friday, September 24, 2004 until 8:30 AM Monday, September 27, 2004: The WebCT server unavailable due to hurricane Jeanne. 12:03 AM Wednesday, September 22 to 1:20 AM Wednesday, September 22, 2004: The WebCT server unavailable due to a failure during system backup. --> |
