course tools (WebCT) is an online medium that facilitates the learning
process in an environment that is accessible and on demand. This environment
is available twenty four (24) hours daily. It may be used as the full
medium by which a course is taught or it may be used to supplement a
class taught mostly face-to-face.
WebCT was created by professors at the University of British Columbia, it allows instructors to design online courses, create their own websites, hold interactive and bulletin-board-type discussions and administer exams in an online environment. To put this information online the faculty or designer will enter the material into pre-prepared forms that will allow the virtual classroom to take shape.
