The Veterans Law Clinic provides representation in a wide variety of cases including housing matters, powers of attorney, advanced directives, qualified income trusts and wills, consumer rights, divorce, paternity, child support, veterans’ court, driver’s license restoration, sealing and expungement, debtor/creditor issues, veterans’ benefits, and military upgrades.
The Veterans Law Clinic provides legal advice and representation to low income veterans and military personnel. Potential clients should complete the intake questionnaire via phone. Proof of veteran or military status and income will be required. Acceptable forms of proof of status are a DD-214, DD-215, veteran’s designation on Florida driver’s license, or valid military identification. The Veterans Law Clinic accepts clients by appointment only.

The NSU Legal Incubator is the first legal incubator program in the country that specifically targets the veteran population. The Legal Incubator is a post-graduate program that enables NSU College of Law graduates to start their own solo, small firm or non-profit practice while serving the veteran community and low and moderate income individuals. The incubator program operates through the Veterans Law Clinic. Individual attorneys accept clients with various legal issues based upon the attorneys’ legal practice.
Clients are referred to the attorneys in the Legal Incubator Program through the Legal Hotline. Fees are assessed on a sliding fee scale. Potential clients should complete the intake questionnaire via phone. Proof of veteran or military status and income will be required. The Legal Incubator accepts clients by appointment only.
