All fees are waived for veterans and their families

Hours of Operation

  • Mon - Thurs: 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The Center for Veterans Assistance, with funding from United Way of Broward County and in partnership with Mission United, provides individual therapy, family therapy, and psychological assessment free of charge to active-duty military, veterans, and their dependents.  The Department of Justice and Human Services – in partnership with the College of Psychology – provides services through the Psychology Services Center.  Veterans and their families can call to make an appointment.

Services Offered:

For over 25 years TRIP has been providing services to people with difficulties related to traumatic experiences, including combat trauma and military trauma.

We offer the following services:

  • Individual therapy
  • Couples counseling
  • Family therapy
  • Psychological assessment
  • Group therapy

Our therapeutic approach is to work collaboratively with our clients to develop a program of treatment that best suits their particular needs, using evidence-based practices

Payment:

$20 for initial intake and $16 for each subsequent session with a print-out of your current class schedule and your student ID

The Henderson Student Counseling Center offers services that cover a wide variety of issues, including academic concerns and career development, relationship challenges, anxiety, substance abuse, depression, goal setting, and any other problems a student may face. The office is staffed with licensed mental health professionals, including a psychologist and psychiatrist. Henderson is accredited at the highest level to provide student counseling services by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Payment

Part-time and full-time students can participate in up to 10 sessions per year, from the date of the first appointment. Counseling sessions are available at no cost. If seeing the psychiatrist, students are charged a nominal fee. Aetna and various other insurance companies are also accepted.

  • Tuesday: 9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Thursday: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
