Admissions Ambassadors

Adam Hillyard is an Exercise and Sports Science major here at NSU and will be a junior in the fall and made NSU his home from Lakeville, Minnesota. Adam is currently involved in Phi Gamma Delta, MedLife and FitWell. When Adam isn’t hitting the books, he’s pumping iron at the RecPlex. He is wanting to help students be less nervous when they arrive on campus and see the potential they have at NSU. Ah1645@nova.edu

Alexandra Reggiani Reggiani is a sophomore accounting major and Spanish minor from Long Island, New York. When she came to NSU she wanted to get involved right away and was one of two freshmen senators on the Undergraduate Student Government Association. Besides SGA, she is involved in Green Sharks club and the Accounting Club. Ar2118@nova.edu

Alissa Svedberg is a senior Marine Biology major with a theatre minor. She comes from Middleton, Wisconsin and brought her small town charm with her to NSU where she became involved in a number of different organizations such as the Scientific Literature Society and Residential Student Association. She is also a research assistant in organic chemistry where she has learned to derive new compounds at NSU! As2674@nova.edu

Christian Charles is a sophomore biology major who comes from Tamarac, Florida. Christian is currently in the Pre-Pharmacy Society and was the Recruitment chair for Phi Gamma Delta. Christian became an admissions ambassador to help implement new creative ways of bringing students into NSU. Cc2590@nova.edu

Collin Tacy is a sophomore who hails from Cape Coral, Florida. He is a Biology major and is involved in the Kappa Sigma fraternity, Undergraduate Student Government Association and the honors program. He is looking forward to helping educate families and potential sharks about NSU and conducing tours for these prospective students. Ct976@nova.edu

Ellie Junker came to NSU from Mascoutah, Illinois to study biology. As a freshman, Ellie is very excited to pursue her passion for swimming as a member of the NSU swim team. In addition to swimming, Ellie participated as a freshmen mentor in high school. She is very excited to represent NSU! Ej499@nova.edu

Jacob Gray is a sophomore Marine Biology major from Belleville, Michigan. He is currently involved in NSU’s Club Swim team, green sharks club and Scuba Crew. Jacob is looking to provide a warm welcome to all potential NSU students. Jg2531@nova.edu

Jake Bence came to NSU from Tampa, Florida and is currently a junior. He has gotten involved in Razor’s Edge and MAKO Rangers with his Chemistry major and Mathematics minor. Jake strives for perfection when getting to know families on tour, or whether in the office connecting with students after they’ve left. Jb3268@nova.edu

Jaskaran Sadhar is a junior Biology major involved in the Indian student association and the Pre-Soma society. He is from Monroe Township, New Jersey and is wanting to share his experiences of traveling out of state for college to other prospective students. Js3779@nova.edu

     

Julia Kolowski has been on the ambassador team for the past two years. She comes from Cheshire, Connecticut and will be a junior this fall with senior credits. She is a Dual-Admit Pre-Dental student majoring in Biology. Aside from studying, Julia is involved in Best Buddies, Pre-Dental Society and NSU Disaster Medicine. Julia consistently works hard in and out of the office to connect with students and especially assisting with Shark Preview. Jk1307@nova.edu

Karena WashingtonKarena Washington is a sophomore Music major who plays the Saxophone! Karena found her home at NSU from outside of Atlanta, Georgia. She is involved in Razor’s Edge, Mako Rangers, Mako Band, Riff Tides, Green Sharks, AAWW, SGA, Finatics and has held just as many leadership roles as the number of organizations she is in. Katlyn Magnotta is a junior from Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. She is a dual admissions student for Physical Therapy, majoring in biology and minoring in business. She is involved in Razor’s Edge, Campus Cursive and Sigma Delta Tau where she is currently President. She has a bubbly personality that will make all prospective guests feel right at home. Lacei Sams found NSU from St. Louis, Missouri and is a super involved senior Business Administration major but doesn’t let that define her involvements. She participates in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Student Government Association. Lacei has a high level of enthusiasm and professionalism at NSU. She shows her shark pride at all events and participates as much as she possibly can. She hopes to help prospective students fall in love with NSU just as she did. Ls1798@nova.edu

Matt Lohwater is a rising junior biology major, currently working on research with a specific focus on dentistry. Besides being academic, Matt is involved in Mako Rangers, Razor’s Edge, Phi Gamma Delta and Pre-Dental Society. Moira Majaha is a sophomore international student from Zimbabwe. She is a biology pre-med major that has her sights set on Pharmacy school. She involved herself in The Riff Tides, Razor’s Edge, Shark Preview Leader, Student Government Association, Ablaze, AAWW, Tennis Captain and Nova International Student Association. Parker Sheppard is a junior from Mansfield, Texas. Currently he is a part of Razor’s Edge, Phi Gamma Delta and MAKO Rangers. Parker is an Exercise and Sport Science major with minors in Business and Chemistry also with a certificate in Leadership. Rachael Green came to NSU from Omaha, Nebraska and brought her Midwest flavor into her Environmental science major with geographic information systems minor. She is a junior who is a member of Alpha Chi Omega. She was a mentor to incoming freshmen in high school, and wants to mentor students coming into NSU. Rg1132@nova.edu

Travin Williams Williams is a freshman from Atlanta, Georgia. He is excited to begin his journey studying Psychology at NSU. Victoria Kendig is a junior Environmental Science major coming from just outside of Dayton, Ohio, She has gotten involved in a number of organizations such as Razor’s Edge Leadership, Green Sharks Sustainability Club and AAUW.
