Vision
NSU Spiritual Life fosters an environment where students challenge themselves to consider important questions about meaning and purpose, as well as discover their unique values and guiding ethics. Students learn to examine and appreciate their own spirituality and at the same time understand and respect the various religious backgrounds, spiritual perspectives, and faith traditions that exist in our diverse community.
Purpose
- To raise awareness about issues relating to life meaning and purpose.
- To provide resources for spiritual reflection and discovery.
- To offer educational programs that enlighten students about a diversity of religious traditions, celebrations, and beliefs.
- To challenge students to think critically about personal and societal ethical dilemmas.
- To encourage student exploration through integrated learning within and beyond the classroom.
- To support and advise the Spiritual Life Council and the student religious organizations within the NSU community.
