Become politically engaged ... 'step iT up'
Through an undergraduate student's (Shane Johnson) desire to mobilize the NSU community in a political initiative, ‘step iT up’ was born. It was because of Shane’s unease with the apathetic behavior many individuals exhibit about the political process and/or unaware of the many issues affecting our world that this initiative came about.
Why should you 'step iT up'? Are you afraid of ...
- losing your right of free speech?
- losing your right to bear arms?
- losing your right to religious freedom?
- losing your right to a fair trial?
- losing your right to a trial by a jury of your peers?
- losing your right to vote?
If these items are a concern to you, then STEP IT UP and become politically engaged through the 'step iT up' initiative. The aim of 'step iT up' is to mobilize the NSU community around a nonpartisan political initiative as a means to educate, engage and empower through an on-going and evolving initiative.
