Need something to do over Spring Break?
How about taking a service trip right into our own backyard. The Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement will be hosting a service trip to Ascension Peace Presbyterian Church's Little Maskers Childcare Center. Activities include painting, yardwork, and general maintenance around the facility. The cost for this trip will be $100 and covers transportation, meals, and lodging while at the site.

The Spirit of New Orleans Trip Date
You can't explain the spirit of New Orleans, but once there you can certainly feel it. More than six years after Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans is a still community in need. We will be working with the New Orleans Chapter of Habitat for Humanity to help build houses for people displaced by the hurricane.

Volunteer Fair at Don Taft University Center Atrium
Non-profit organizations from around Broward County will be on-campus recruiting NSU students for many different types of volunteer experiences.

Impact Conference At Stetson University
The IMPACT Conference is historically the largest gathering in the country focused on the civic engagement of college students in community service, service-learning, community-based research, advocacy and other forms of social action.

Up 'til Dawn Team Challenge
This event will feature teams of NSU students and student organizations competing in events to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will take place in the RecPlex, Don Taft University Center
April 13-14
Relay for Life at Gold Circle Lake, NSU Main Campus
Join the NSU community in the fight against cancer, we will "relay" from 6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The night will feature a welcome ceremony with a special guest, a survivor's lap, a luminaria walk, and tons of fun for everyone while we celebrate those that have survived and those that continue to fight, and honor those that lost their fight against cancer.

Guyana Summer Experience
Join us for an experience like no other and travel to Guyana, South America. We are partnering with International Children's Outreach to build a Community Center in Georgetown (Guyana's capital.) The approximate cost is $650 depending on airfare.
