Student Leadership and Civic Engagement

The Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement’s Core Covenant articulates the central values of our team which drives our expectations for action and interaction with our students and staff. Therefore, we commit to one another to aspire to the following: 

We uphold the mission and values of Nova Southeastern University, the Division of Student Affairs & the College of Undergraduate Studies, and the Office of Student Leadership & Civic Engagement.

Student Leadership and Civic Engagement, also known as “SLCE” is located on the 2nd floor of the Rosenthal Student Center. 

The SLCE is home to:

  • Fall and Winter Volunteer Fairs
  • Leadership Awards
  • LEAD Week Leadership Conference
  • Razor’s Edge Leadership Scholarship Program
  • Service-based student organizations
  • SERV hours program
  • Shark and Service (SAS) Trips  
  • Wide-range of community affiliates for service projects

With a wide range of opportunities to grow as a leader and become engaged in the campus community, as well as in the local Fort Lauderdale region, and internationally, chances are there is an opportunity to begin your journey, and if there is something you have an interest in that is not already here, let’s make it happen!
