Life on campus at Nova Southeastern University is like nothing you’ve ever experienced. You’ll be amazed at the many things we have to offer, like modern and comfortable dorm rooms, the amazing Don Taft University Center, NCAA Division II sports, an abundance of student activities, convenient on-campus dining, hangouts like Starbucks and Einstein Bagels, plus a close-knit campus community where people welcome you with open arms.

You get all this, plus the sunny, South Florida lifestyle, which means you’ll be able to enjoy everything the great outdoors has to offer. Of course you’re only a 15-minute drive from the beach. But there’s always something to do on campus, too - like the annual Anything That Floats Raft Race, Community Fest, homecoming week activities, and Shark sporting events.

Sound great? What are you waiting for? It’s time to make NSU your home. We know it will be one the best times of your life, and a time you’ll look back on with great memories.

NSU Men's Baseball TeamSharks Athletics

NSU is home to National Champions, All-Americans, Olympians, and future professional athletes. We are small in number, but big in team spirit. The NSU Sharks compete in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as members of the Sunshine State Conference. NSU offers 17 intercollegiate athletic programs. Our student-athletes enjoy a winning edge thanks to a dedicated athletic training staff; some of the best baseball, softball, and soccer facilities in South Florida; and of course, The Shark Tank (a thundering, 4,500-seat arena in the heart of the Don Taft University Center) and a new Olympic Competition Pool. And they all explode into a frenzy when the Sharks come alive.

The NSU Athletic Department prides itself in not only athletic excellence, but also academic excellence. Since joining the NCAA in 2002, NSU student-athletes have maintained a 3.0 departmental GPA. Eight out of the last nine academic years, student-athletes have posted a 3.0 yearly departmental GPA. In 2011, more than 49 percent of NSU’s student-athletes recorded a 3.0 GPA or higher, with 6 percent receiving a perfect 4.0.

The main reason you’re in college is to learn, and that can mean a lot of hard work. At NSU we know it’s not only exercise your brain but your body as well. That’s why we offer an abundance of opportunities to have fun, get fit and unwind. Make a splash with aquatics classes. Go running with the Land Sharks. Compete in intramural sports. Learn a new hobby with instructional programs like scuba or golf. Use the modern fitness equipment, get personal training, or take group exercise classes. The choice of how to get the most out of your fitness and wellness is up to you.
