The American Educational Research Association (AERA) is concerned with improving the educational process by encouraging scholarly inquiry related to education and evaluation and includes "Special Interest Groups" such as Qualitative Research, Mixed Methods Research, Narrative Research, and Action Research.

The Qualitative Report Second Annual Conference

The TQR Second Annual Conference will be held January 7 and 8, 2011 at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida USA. Special Notes to those Attending the TQR 2nd Annual Conference:

  • The presenters of the seminar entitled "Writing for Methodological Audiences" would like to remind conference attendees that they are planning to provide individualized feedback for the participants if they have some writings/drafts/ summaries with them. If you are considering attending this session, please bring 1-2 page summaries of their paper drafts or proposals with you to the session.
  • Books by the two conference keynote speakers, Dr. Ron Chenail and Dr. Khawla Abu-Baker, will be available for purchase at the book signing Friday afternoon and throughout the conference at a discounted rate of $25 and $20 dollars. These books will be available for cash sales, so please plan accordingly. There will also be books available from Left Coast Press throughout the conference; please be sure to visit the Left Coast Press table in the DeSantis Courtyard Atrium.
