The Evaluation Center of Western Michigan University: The Evaluation Center's mission is to advance the theory, practice, and utilization of evaluation. The Center's principal activities are research, development, dissemination, service, instruction, and national and international leadership in evaluation. The Centers web site provides evaluation specialists and users with refereed checklists for designing, budgeting, contracting, staffing, managing, and assessing evaluations of programs, personnel, students, and other evaluands; collecting, analyzing, and reporting evaluation information; and determining merit, worth, and significance. These checklists include Constructivist (a.k.a. Fourth Generation) Evaluation by Egon Guba and Yvonna Lincoln, Deliberative Democratic Evaluation by Ernest R. House and Kenneth R. Howe, Qualitative Evaluation by Michael Quinn Patton, and Utilization-Focused Evaluation by Michael Quinn Patton.

NSU Announces New Online Graduate

Qualitative Research Certificate Program

 

The NSU Graduate Qualitative Research Certificate Program consists of eight three-credit hour online courses designed to prepare academics, professional research consultants, and graduate students to understand a variety of qualitative research approaches and to conduct qualitative research studies. Applications for fall 2009 courses are now being accepted.
