service events and a service project at one place as the main focus.
The goal
is to get more people involved and that way individuals would have to
put in
less time. The place she is interested in is, Dahornley’s Alzheimer’s
Pavilion.
It is an outpatient place in Deerfield Beach for people on the border
of mental
deterioration diseases. It is NOT like a nursing home at all; it keeps
mental
stimulation going all day, and gets funding by grants. It even offers a
daycare
like atmosphere. The woman who runs it (Alicia) will come speak to us
on a
weekend in early June- who’s interested? … everyone nodded… Mary will
email us
with the exact day and time…. Sunday around 3pm sounds like an idea. An
idea
was to create a trivia night for them once a month and also we could
create a
coping mechanisms pamphlet for our clinic. She
also announced that the clothing drive is still in collection process
