Roche LightCycler 480A high-performance, high throughput real time PCR platform that provides various methods for gene detection, gene expression analysis, genetic variation analysis, and array data validation. The LightCycler 480 is considered to be the most powerful, sensitive, and quantitative assay for the detection of RNA levels. It is frequently used in the expression analysis of single or multiple genes, and expression patterns for identifying infections and diseases. A robotically controlled, automated plate-based quantitative PCR device that supports  a wide range of probe formats. Highly sensitive and reproducible results for qualitative and quantitative detection of nucleic acids through real time PCR, which can be combined with RT-PCR for a seamless flow of quantification while producing cDNA libraries.
NanoStringThe Nanostring system is a powerful variation of the microarray used to analyze expression levels of multiple samples and hundreds of gene targets simultaneously in a single tube. It is highly sensitive and does not require amplification of target molecules. The system can directly assay tissue extracts and whole blood lysates, total RNA, cell lysates, as well as Formalin-Fixed Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) extracts. Multiplexing up to 800 of targets and multiple samples of unique transcripts in one hybridization reaction. Each color coded barcode is attached to a single target specific probe corresponding to a gene of interest. Specializing in the development of cancer diagnostics tools, NanoString received a CE-mark designation for selling the Prosigna Breast Cancer Prognostic Gene Signature Assay (PAM50-based breast cancer test) in Israel and EU in September 2012, and in September 2013, NanoString received FDA 510(k) clearance for Prosigna.
