Genomics Core Facility

Welcome to the Nova Southeastern University Genomics Core Facility (NSU GCF).  Our goal is to provide NSU investigators, as well as external investigators, access to sophisticated methodologies in Genomics including, but not limited to, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and high-throughput microfluidic qPCR.  We ensure high quality data using highly stringent Quality Control (QC) metrics.

The critical objectives of the NSU GCF are:

  • To provide investigators with access to high quality, state of the art, sophisticated technology and methodologies for the analysis of research specimens.
  • To train investigators, fellows and technical staff in the use of analytical instrumentation and techniques in genomics.
  • To provide education into the theories and practices of up to the date genomics platforms.
  • To provide excellent comprehensive customer service in a timely manner.

Upcoming Events & Registration

The Genomics Core Facility will host the "Introduction to NanoString Technologies" seminar in the Buehler Institute of the Center for Collaborative Research on Tuesday, October 10th from 11:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. NanoString's products utilize a novel digital molecular barcoding technology that is based on direct multiplexed measurement of gene expression without amplification and offers high levels of precision and sensitivity. The technology uses color-coded molecular barcoding and single molecule imaging to detect and count hundreds of unique transcripts in a single reaction. To learn more about our NanoString services, please contact Advanced registration is required and seating is limited. Please RSVP.
