Radio X Staff

  1. No experience necessary
  2. Work 20-25 hrs weekly
  3. On-air personalities (2 shows-2 hours each in the evening)
  4. Staff are paid $10 hour
  5. Cover live remotes at various events (i.e. Hard Rock, Signature Grand, etc.)
  6. Have the opportunity to cover media events
  7. Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
  8. Opportunity to attend free concerts, sporting events, movie screening, and see Broadway Plays
  9. Must be friendly, energetic, open to a wide variety of music, mature, creative, fun, have a sense of humor, responsible, good speaking voice, good communication skills, willingness to learn, ability to work in a team atmosphere, ability to laugh at yourself , computer skills helpful

Requirements:

  1. Must be a registered student at Nova Southeastern University, meeting the minimum academic requirement  of the academic department
  2. For undergraduate students, must have a minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA: Graduate students must meet their department requirements.
  3. Must intern (non-paid) for a minimum of 3weeks to be consider for a staff position
  4. Must be friendly, energetic, open to a variety of music, mature, creative, fun, have a sense of humor, responsible, good speaking voice, good communication skills, willingness to learn, ability to work in a team atmosphere, ability to laugh at yourself , computer skills helpful, and the ability to work as part of a team

 

Radio X Interns

  1. Non-paid
  2. Attend an information session (you will be notified)
  3. Earn class credits (depending on major)
  4. Internship placed on co-curriculum college transcript
  5. Will be trained on various equipment and gain hands on experience in the field of broadcasting
  6. Learn important professional skills useful in any profession
  7. Opportunity to attend various events with staff
  8. Learn how to do voice over’s
  9. Opportunity to attend free concerts, movie screening, sporting events, and see Broadway shows
