The part-time entry
level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program
at Nova Southeastern University is offered as
a campus based program that is completed in 5
years. Students are admitted in the summer semester.
The program includes 40 weeks of full time clinical
practice. While on campus, student-learning
experiences occur in a combination of traditional
instruction, case based interactive learning,
and clinical lab skills training. Faculty supervised
TIER I clinical education training begins in
year 2. Students experience direct patient care
in a variety of health care facilities located
in S. Florida that serve primarily underserved
populations.
Graduates will be awarded a D.P.T. degree upon
satisfactory completion of graduation requirements,
which include a comprehensive examination and
a full time clinical internship in addition to
the course work.
