Melissa Ruidiaz is the Director of Marketing Communications at Nova Southeastern University. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing paid, owned, and shared media as well as increasing brand awareness through strategic marketing initiatives. Ruidiaz works with internal and external constituencies to develop and execute NSU’s advertising plan. She works collaboratively with the Executive Director and Vice President of PR and Marketing Communications with overall brand management strategy and creative execution.
Ruidiaz has over 14 years of higher education marketing experience. She previously served as the Director of Marketing and Communications with NSU’s College of Engineering and Computing, where she led increased enrollment through various marketing initiatives. She has worked at NSU for over 14 years in a variety of roles often directly developing marketing plans and strategies to increase awareness and enrollment. Her expertise and areas of interest include integrated marketing communications, digital marketing, enrollment marketing, analytics, and brand marketing.
Ruidiaz holds a M.B.A. in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University, B.S. in Marketing from Nova Southeastern University, and is currently pursuing her doctorate in higher education leadership. She is also certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
