Kimberly Cohane is an Associate Director for Public Relations and Marketing Communications at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). She works closely with the Director of Marketing Communications and the university's advertising agency to create strategic initiatives and develop communication and promotional campaigns using social media marketing, paid digital media advertising, Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns, Virtual Tours, Google Maps, Google Expeditions, and NSU’s interactive online maps.
Responsibilities include leading university-wide social media trainings to promote a unified brand message as well as digital marketing and content best practice strategies for NSU's colleges and departments. She supervises and mentors current students through internships, ensuring they have access to real-world experience in digital marketing and social media. She holds certifications as a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Google AdWords, Hootsuite Platform Management, and Digital Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has a B.S. in Natural Sciences from the University of South Florida, an M.S. in Leadership from NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. She is proud to serve on the Marketing and Branding Committee for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and is a member of Leadership Broward Class XXXVI.
