Steven J. Sager, MPAS, PA-C

Steven J. SagerProfessor Sager began his career in health care as an independent duty hospital corpsman in the U.S. Coast Guard in 1978. He attended the U.S. Air Force Physician Assistant program from 1990-1992 and received his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska in 1998.

After retiring from military service in 1999, Steve moved to southwest Kansas where he spent the next six years at two rural hospitals working in their emergency departments, long-term care facilities, and primary care clinics.

Mr. Sager joined the PA faculty at Nova Southeastern University in January of 2005. He is the course director for Clinical Pharmacology and lectures on a variety of topics in the Physical Diagnosis and Clinical Medicine & Surgery courses.

Professor Sager is currently enrolled in the Fischler Graduate School of Education and Human Services’ doctorate program, pursuing an EdD in Adult Education.

He also serves on a number of committees, chairing the Instructional Technology Committee which has added numerous innovations to the curriculum.

He is also a speaker at NSU’s annual medical review conference.
