1. When do your programs begin?
Our MOT academic program starts during the first week in June each year. Our doctoral programs begin in September and January of each year.
2. When may I apply?
You may apply to our Master of Occupational Therapy program after taking only 90 undergraduate credits (including 30 upper division prerequisites) or after having completed a Bachelor’s Degree. Our doctoral programs are available only to graduates of entry-level occupational therapy programs.
3. What is the due date for applications? We review student applications as we receive them and until the month preceding program enrollment. To expedite the advising process, please send your completed application first, and submit other parts (transcripts, references, GRE) as they are completed. We will contact you to schedule an interview following receipt of your application, transcripts, fees and a minimum of one letter of reference.
4. Do you require the GRE?
Yes, you must take the GRE General Test and the Essay/Analytic Portion.
The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is required for our master’s and doctoral programs www.gre.org. Please specify our Institution code of 5522 and Department code of 0618. We do not require a minimum score, but prefer a combined score of 800 for the master’s. Please consult the doctoral program’s Webpages [Click Here]

5. How long is your program?
Our master’s program is 2.5 years long, full-time. For the Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy, 90 credit hours are required. The DrOT degree requires the completion of 72 credit hours. Up to 30 credit hours may be transferred and credited towards the degree requirement.
6. Where are the classes held?
Classes are held in the daytime on
the Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus ONLY. Our
post- professional doctoral programs are predominantly
delivered by distance learning, with on-campus classes
4 times a year.
