Welcome and Introduction
The Office of Grants and Contracts is pleased to welcome and present the online 'Pre-Award Tutorial' to assist NSU administrators, faculty, staff and students who are interested in obtaining funding for sponsored projects.
The tutorial is divided into four modules. Each module is designed to be completed at your own pace and is filled with glossaries, frequently asked questions, resources, and much more related to project concept development to submission. There are quizzes and visual presentations to lighten the learning experience.
By the end of the tutorial, you will be able to:
Decide on the feasibility of applying for sponsored funding.
Link project ideas to appropriate funding opportunities.
Write competitive proposals that respond to the agency's guidelines and review criteria.
Develop appropriate budget worksheets and justifications.
Understand and follow the appropriate government and private, as well as university policies and procedures associated with obtaining sponsored funding.
